Coat model
The COAT radiation protection garment is designed for specialists who require an extended level of protection, lumbar support, and comfort during prolonged interventional procedures. The overlapping front-panel design provides reliable protection in critical areas, while the wide belt and soft shoulder inserts contribute to more even weight distribution. -

Head protection
Head protection complements the main radiation protection apparel and is used for additional shielding of sensitive areas when working in scattered radiation conditions. Such products are especially relevant for specialists who regularly perform prolonged interventional procedures under fluoroscopic guidance.

Leg protection
Leg protection is intended for additional shielding of the lower extremities in areas exposed to scattered radiation during work with X-ray systems. This solution helps strengthen personal protection for staff, especially in situations where standard apparel does not cover all potentially vulnerable areas.

Hand protection
Hand protection is used to reduce exposure to scattered radiation during manipulations performed close to the X-ray field. It complements the main personal protective equipment set and is especially relevant during interventional procedures in which the operator’s hands are in close proximity to the radiation zone.

Shoulder and arm protection
Shoulder and arm protection is intended for additional coverage of areas that may remain less protected when the physician’s or assistant’s position changes relative to the radiation source. These elements help create more comprehensive personal protection and improve safety during prolonged procedures. They are attached to the main protective garment with Velcro fasteners and can be easily added or removed depending on the type of procedure.

Thyroid protection
Thyroid protection is an important component of personal radiation protection, providing shielding for one of the most radiation-sensitive anatomical areas. MDT models have an ergonomic shape and fit comfortably during everyday use.

Gonadal protection
Gonadal protection is used for additional shielding of sensitive anatomical areas during radiologic and interventional procedures. It is an important part of a comprehensive radiation safety approach and may be used both for patients and, in specific clinical scenarios, for staff.

Protective mask
The protective mask is intended for additional shielding of the face from scattered radiation during X-ray-guided procedures. Its design with a transparent shield and adjustable fastening allows the position of the mask to be adjusted for comfortable work and improved facial protection. This solution is a useful addition to the main radiation protection set for specialists working close to the radiation source.

Protective glasses
MDT protective glasses provide effective eye protection against scattered X-ray radiation and are available in various options for everyday interventional practice. The range includes lightweight models made of TR90, nylon, and polycarbonate, including solutions with side protection and options designed to be worn over prescription glasses. Selected models can be used without prescription correction or with single-vision, bifocal, or progressive lenses, allowing the optimal option to be chosen according to the user’s individual needs.

Apron racks
Apron racks ensure proper storage of radiation protection garments in an unfolded position, preventing folds and cracks in the protective material. Mobile wheeled models allow the full set of protective equipment to be conveniently moved between operating rooms and procedure rooms.

Innovative antibacterial MDT fabric
After a period of innovation and refinement of its existing fabrics, MDT developed a new technology with unique antibacterial properties called Pureproteq®.
Pureproteq® is a durable, flexible, and comfortable material with a cooling effect and odor-neutralizing properties. It has proven efficacy against Salmonella, Listeria, E. coli, Staphylococcus, Aspergillus, MRSA, and pneumococcus, helping prevent cross-contamination.
The antibacterial treatment is embedded in the fabric structure and remains active even after intensive wet cleaning. Dirt and barium also cannot penetrate the material, which makes cleaning quick and easy.
When ordering, you can choose one of two innovative protective materials compliant with IEC 61331-1:2014:
OMNIA® ULTRALIGHT is an ultra-light lead composite with a reinforced honeycomb structure. It provides maximum durability and the highest level of protection across a wide energy range of 60–110 kV.
NOVUS® LEAD FREE is a next-generation lead-free bismuth-based material. It is non-toxic and features air bounce technology, which effectively neutralizes secondary radiation.
